A fashion design student, Rose Genzman, from Pima Community College, took first place in a citywide design competition during the fifth annual disABLED Divaz Fashion Show. 

“Winning this award is a special honor,” Genzman said. "I love creating patterns, designing clothing is something that comes from within.”

The competition was open to all Pima County girls from grades six through grade 12.

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - The Winterhaven Festival of Lights brightened the community's holiday spirit as it kicked off on Saturday night.

The streets lit up with bright lights, festive decorations, the sound of horse carriages, Christmas carols, and the smell of hot chocolate and freshly popped Kettle corn.

The 62nd annual event is one of the longest running festivals of its kind in the country.
