TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now)- For those who have been looking for a little feline friend now is the time to adopt. The Pima Animal Care Center is overflowing with cats and is waiving the adoption fees right now.
The staff at PACC is seeing so many cats and litters of kittens coming in that they have been making space where they usually house the dogs.
PACC is still accepting cats, according to PACC officials, while the Humane Society of Southern Arizona is not at this time. Call either shelter beforehand to make sure they are accepting cat surrenders.
New adoption fees for cats (over one year of age) will be waived through Sept. 28; kittens will be $25.
All cat adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, as well as micro-chipping and vaccinations.
