Four suspects in custody for 2011 shooting | News
TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now)- Tucson Police have made several arrests today in connection to a 2011 shooting.
It was May, 2011 when TPD dispatch received a call about shots being heard coming from an apartment complex at 5650 S. Park Ave. When officers arrived at the scene they found 22-year-old Javier Bejarano, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Bejarano died several hours later from his wounds.
TPD discovered evidence that he had been shot in the north parking lot, and with help from witnesses discovered that Bejarano had been involved in an apparent argument or altercation before the shots were fired. A black or dark sedan was seen fleeing the scene.
Detectives had been working leads on the case since the shooting, and have arrested four individuals they believe are linked to the shooting. With help from investigators with Homeland Security Investigations, TPD Gang Investigators located and arrested the following four individuals they believe were involved in the shooting:
Julian Zepeda; Kristin Olea; Michael Ortega, and Moises Fierros, all were charged with one count of First Degree Murder. All four were transported and booked into the Pima County Jail.
The investigation is still ongoing.
