FC Tucson announces free admission to Friday game

FC Tucson made the announcement on Monday of free admission to soccer game, as a way to thank the community members and fans of soccer for a successful Desert Diamond Cup.

The free game is the Seattle-Veracruz game this Friday, at 7 p.m.  The game will be held at Kino North Field 5, where seating is limited to 1,200 people.

"FC Tucson SoccerFest has enjoyed tremendous support from the community," said FC Tucson Managing Member Greg Foster, in a recent news release. "This is an opportunity for us to say ‘Thank you.' "

Added Seattle Head Coach Sigi Schmid: "We have enjoyed our time here at the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup. Tucson has been very supportive of what we have done here, so it's a great way to give back to the fans for their support."

Those interested in getting tickets, they will be made available through FC Tucson's radio broadcast partners, ESPN Deportes (990 AM) and sister station La Caliente (102.1 FM), and at the FC Tucson box office at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium.  Pick up starts today, February 19, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will run daily while supplies last.
