Challenger Middle School students to cast e-votes for president | Events
Tomorrow students at Challenger Middle School will get a chance to cast their vote for President. Both students and staff will get a chance to exercise their technology skills and lessons on the Electoral College, when they vote electronically for this year’s presidential election.
The exercise was made possible by We the People, Challenger Middle School’s mock congressional hearing team, and the Challenger Student Council.
Results from the vote will be tabulated after school on Friday and announced to the student body on Monday.
By casting their e-votes, it is hoped that students will understand how the Electoral College works, and how voting is a right and responsibility of citizenship, which are also Social Studies standards.
The vote will take place tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
